The Institute of Agricultural Science (ICA, for its acronym in Spanish) of the Autonomus University of Baja california (UABC for its acronym in Spanish), is located in Ejido Nuevo León, where it offers the students the necessary conditions to develop a scientific and technological education in agricultural field, with a critical, social and ethical awareness. It has the necessary infrastructure to conduct the substantive functions of the UABC such as: teaching, research, and dissemination of culture. ICA offers personalized attention through a tutoring, educational and psychological orientation program, a library, a scholarship program, a student mobility and professors exchange program, areas of agricultural and livestock production, specialized laboratories and experimental fields.

Its graduates function as agents of social change, promoting sustainable and competitive agricultural production in a globalized environment, entrepreneurial and committed to the generation, transfer and application of new technologies, with honesty, ethics, social responsibility and respect for the environment.
